Service Description
Our class is the complete guide to raising coturnix quail to become more self-sufficient! We will teach you everything you need to know about hatching, raising chicks, selecting quality breeding stock, and processing the birds for your dinner plate. Each participant will get one live quail raised here on our farm to process. We are firm believers that hands-on experiences are the best way to learn and build confidence. You will start with your live quail and end with a fully packaged and clean quail to take home for dinner! We cover a lot of information, so we send you home with a handout covering the class and what was taught! Class is held at 3F Farms in Elberta, UT Packages: Basic: is just the cost of the class and processing a bird to take home. Start Pack: This is the class (1 bird to process) and 10-day-old chicks. Ultimate Package: This is the package to the quick start! You will receive the class, four hens, and one rooster to start your covey! PLEASE NOTE class space is limited, but don't worry, we will have one class a month to help keep them personal and more hands-on time per person! We ask that all participants be at least 12 years of age. We do handle potentially dangerous equipment (i.e. knives, scissors etc.) so please keep this in mind when booking for a minor. They need to be respectful, ready to learn, capable of understanding processing, and be emotionally able to handle the class.
