🌿 What’s New This Year

We’re introducing our custom pre-order option so you can reserve exactly what you want ahead of time! When placing your order, you’ll be able to select from available breeds, sexing options, and age groups.

At this time, we are being very selective in what we’re offering — we want to ensure every bird listed comes from pens that are actively laying and performing well. Additional availability may be added closer to the sale as more hens begin production.

If we have extra birds or hatching availability, those will be listed online before the sale, and anything not pre-sold will be available in person at the show for same-day purchase and pickup.

🐥 Age & Sexing Options

  • Day-Old Chicks (Straight Run Only)
These chicks are unsexed and sold as straight run only. Perfect for those who enjoy raising from day one and don’t mind the surprise mix of pullets and roosters.

  • DNA-Sexed Chicks (Under 3 Weeks Old)
These chicks have been DNA-sexed to confirm gender before pickup. Because DNA results take time to process, we cannot guarantee an exact hatch date, but all chicks will be under 3 weeks old at pickup. Available as pullets or roosters.

  • Silkie Grow-Outs (16 Weeks and Older)
For those who prefer started birds, we’ll also be offering Silkie pullets and cockerels 16 weeks and older. A great choice for buyers who want to skip the brooder phase and enjoy birds closer to laying age

🏷 Permanent Identification

All birds sold as sexed chicks or grow-outs will come with a permanent wing-band ID for accurate recordkeeping and verification. This ensures each bird’s identity is traceable back to our farm and maintains transparency in our breeding program. Some birds might also be toe-punched to help with identification.

🪶 Egg Color & Breeding Notes

We always want to be transparent about what to expect from our layers. As a disclaimer, I can not guarantee shades that pullets will lay just the general color. Eggshell color is complex and not simply inherited, so every bird is unique. Birds are being sold young and none will be sold with DQs, but there are no promises on showability or breeder qualities at this age:

  • Black Copper Marans: Guaranteed to lay brown eggs.

    • Our Black Copper Marans are from pens that focus on SOP and egg color.

  • Olive Eggers: Guaranteed to lay green eggs.

  • Back-Cross Olive Eggers: Each chick has a 50% chance of laying green and a 50% chance of laying brown.

    • Because back-cross Olive Eggers carry a mix of both blue and brown egg genes, it is impossible to guarantee which color gene combination they will express once mature. These are bred intentionally for variety and depth in egg basket color, but the outcome will always be one of the two — green or brown.

  • Seaglass Eggers: will range from blues to light aqua greens.

  • Mixed Marans: Will lay shades of brown.

    • These birds will be a variety and mixed pen of the following colors: white, black copper, black silver. I can not guarantee what mixed/variety you will received. These are intended to add color and depth to an egg basket, not for SOP Breeding.

  • Silkies (BREEDERS CHOICE): I currently only have paints; there is a slight chance of Naked Neck silkies in each pen. Because of the nature of paints, my pens hatch blacks, paints, and dominate whites. I can not guess what will hatch from each egg; therefore, I can not predict what I will be offering. By purchasing silkies, you acknowledge that you do not have a choice in bird color; they will be black, paint, or dominant white. You may add notes to your order, and I will try my best to make accommodations based on the order number, but this can not be guaranteed.

  • White Ameraucana: These will lay a shade of blue.

  • Variety Cornish (BREEDER CHOICE): Due to the fertility in my Cornish pens, this will be a very limited number offered. There is no guarantee of the colors that you will receive. They will be any of the following: White, Dark, Jubilee, and White Laced Red.

🌸 2026 Chick Availability

Please note — this will be the only guaranteed chick offering for 2026.

As part of our new structure, we’re shifting our focus toward hatching eggs available year-round and limiting live chick sales to this single, organized spring event. While we may have a few birds available throughout the year (such as extra growers or birds we decide not to keep), this sale will likely be your only opportunity to reserve guaranteed chicks from us in 2026.

🐔 Quantities are limited, and all orders are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. This new pre-order system helps guarantee you get exactly what you want.

ALL BIRDS WILL BE VACCINATED AGAINST MAREK'S DISEASE.
